I am currently reading the David Hunter series by Simon Beckett. Accidentally started with the 6th book, then read the 1st. I plan on continuing this series, but was wondering what other books there are in a similar style (especially to the first one). What I am looking for in other books would be:
- obviously a thrilling story about death, loss, or similarly heavy emotional torture for the reader 😛
- I loved the inclusion of a love story. Not as the very main story-line, but as something that casually happens and is somewhat part of the story. That would be important for me 🙂
I'd also be open to explore something in the direction of questioning reality as well…
