I’ve been into fantasy for a while, but I am finding the usual recommendations from the “romantasy” genre aren’t doing it for me. I like the genre, but I think a LOT of the books have subpar writing, too many grammatical errors, and/or not fleshed out characters.
I love tension between characters and good banter. I like when I can feel the relationship building over time. I need THE YEARNING. I also just like magic in my books.
I don’t care about the “spice” content much, but do not want to read anything YA as I don’t find it the most relatable at my age. I need well-written adult fantasy books with romance. They have to exist!
Can anyone recommend me something?

For something quicker try Innkeeper Chronicles by Ilona Andrews.
