What’s been the most difficult book you have read in your life(finished or unfinished)?

1 1984 for me. I have tried to read it 3 times but couldn't read it because it's too sad and conforming and I am a rebel.

2 The Diary of Anne Frank. I have read it halfway through but it's too emotional for me or maybe I am just too much emotional that it makes damn difficult for me to read it all the way.
