Does anyone have any recommendations for books turned into movies/TV shows?

I like to read, and my husband does not, so we like to watch movies or shows together of books that I've read. Then I like to say "that's not how it happened in the book"

Recently we watched the Martian and Murderbot and currently watching Dark Matter. I've already read Project Hail Mary, Gone Girl, Ready Player One.

I enjoy reading sci-fi and Thrillers.

    1. The Bosch series by Michael Connelly. Got turned into a well made Amazon Prime series with just enough changes to keep you pointing out the differences.

    2. Try James S. A. Corey’s The Expanses series. Both the books and the television series are well worth the time. The Foundation show on Apple TV is an interesting and visually spectacular take on Isaac Asimov’s original books. And the *Fallout* tv show (spun off a video game more than a book series, I think) is quite good. Outside of science fiction, try the BBC tv show of *The Three Musketeers* and Apple TV’s *Slow Horses*, both great adaptations of novels. The *Reacher* TV show is a good version of the thrillers it’s based on.

    3. There’s the movie adaptation of Jeff Vandermeer’s Annihilation. But to be honest, you could just skip the book and watch the movie, I wouldn’t recommend the book.
If you’re open to good, funny fantasy; There’s Terry Pratchett’s Discworld books, some of which have movie adaptations! Not sure how good the movies are, though.
