I feel embarrassed to say I haven’t read a book in years! but I am a movie girl and recently i’ve been falling in love with movies based on books. Does anyone have any suggestions for books like The Summer I Turned Pretty (not sure what this genre is) or My life with the walter boys?

I haven’t read the books you’re suggesting but very easy books that have somewhat simple sexy plots are always for sale under the Mills and Boon section of any book shop or library.
If reading in general is what you’re trying to get into there’s some great young adult children’s literature that’s really fantastic to just whet your reading appetite. I loved the Giver and the Percy Jackson books
It’s never too late to rediscover reading. The Summer I Turned Pretty is a YA Romance, since you’re wondering about genre. You might like To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before (same author), and its sequel, PS: I Still Love You.
