My first relationship (8 months) is ending soon due to different university paths (military school vs. moving far away).
I’m struggling to accept the inevitable(small chance it doesn't happen tho) breakup. Instead of enjoying our time together(we have like 5 months left), I'm sulking, withdrawing, and getting angry because I'm obsessed with the loss. She seems to have accepted it, which makes things harder for me.
I need recommendations for books that feature a similar scenario(doesn't have to be romance) and specifically focus on:
How to prioritize enjoying the time left and accepting the ending with grace, rather than mourning the loss before it happens.
Any books that capture this theme would be great. Thanks!

Neither of these is specific to romance, but:
*The Places That Scare You: A Guide to Fearlessness in Difficult Times* by Pema Chödrön is an excellent Buddhist perspective on responding to difficult situations.
I also wonder if *Ambiguous Loss* by Pauline Boss might give you a different perspective on loss.
God Said Ha, by Julia Sweeney. Kind of heartstopping and unforgettable, but I don’t think I’d read it a second time… but I’m glad I read it once.
