I always try to read books on their original idiom. For one, it’s a good way to keep studying and practicing. Also, sometimes things might get lost in translation.
I read practically anything (but poetry. I’m still trying to acquire a taste for it).
It doesn’t have to be a classic or anything 🤗 actually, if there’s any author who’s just beginning their career, I’d be interested in reading their work to support it!

If you’re trying to acquire a taste for poetry I’d recommend The Savage Detectives by Roberto Bollaño. It’s about young poets in Mexico and beyond. His writing is beautiful, and he wrote a lot of poetry.
I also just really love this book.
I love Claudia Piñeiro’s books. They are in the shape of mystery novels, but much more interested in exploring societal issues. My favourite so far is Catedrales.
