I just finished my first Stephen King book – Misery and to be honest, I did not enjoy it. it felt slow and the only reason I kept going was because I read spoilers online.
I like Mary Kubica, the Silent Patient, I have enjoyed Frieda McFadden (but stopped reading due to the controversy around her writing) and Colleen Hoover books but am looking for something with more depth. I love the "big twist at the end" books with a ton of suspense (it's how I get my life's thrill).
On the other hand, when I was younger I liked the stereotypical Harry Potter, Vampire Academy, Twilight, Percy Jackson, The Uglies (which was my favorite) so if there's anything like that I'm also interested! I've been scoping Goodreads but I have no idea how to pick a book haha.
Thanks!
