Weird blockbuster with corrupt and organic mysterious worldbuilding

I can't even properly give references of what i'm looking for.

Not looking for hard magical worlds, but am looking for different weird scenarios, where the world itself is a mysterious character.

Think about it like the island of Lost or the weird Prism in Annihilation, but with more weirdness to it and isn't in our universe, maybe also not so much focused on the dramas of the characters.

Some end-of-the-world vibes, decomposing landscapes, destruction.

I also like the blockbuster feeling, the urgency of something big/apocalyptic happening.
