I’m trying to finish a audiobook challenge before the end of the year and this is the only prompt I haven’t listened to a book for yet:
Nonfiction book from a tropical country – within the Inter-tropical Zone, Between the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn.
I’ve listened to and loved Solito by Javier Zamora, A Long Way Gone by Ishmael Beah, and especially How to Say Babylon by Safiya Sinclair. I just listened to them them more than a year ago so they don’t count.
I love memoirs and I’m very interested in Jamaica, Puerto Rico, and Mexico, but it’s hard to narrow down this subject because it’s so broad! I’m cool with suggestions from any tropical country (there’s a list that we’re basing it off as to what counts of but I can’t include links.) Sadly, most of the interesting books I’ve found aren’t on audio. I’d also prefer them to be shorter (8hrs or less) but don’t be discouraged to send me a long book if it’s worth the read!
