I’m looking for some fantasy books and preferably a series that aren’t full of long and difficult/complex words for my sister.
She’s always been struggling with reading, but this year she’s made a huge effort and read almost a book a month.
She’s asked for us to give her books for Christmas instead of just a gift card to the book store.
she loved all the Tamora pierce series,
She also loved the earthsea series,
She did not finish Percy Jackson: she said it was very very slow to get going, 1/3 of the way through and she gave up,
She’s just started Eragon.
So you kinda get the vibe, she especially loves magical creatures so that would be a plus.
Also she just turned 18 this year so it doesn’t have to stay as kids/YA as the examples, but she doesn’t read spicy books or romance, so keep it on the tamer side.
