Looking for a book to get my boomer dad for Christmas that 1. He will like and 2. Might broaden his horizons a bit. He usually reads Dan Brown, Patricia Cornwell, James Patterson etc. I thought there must be some big fans of the thriller, mystery, crime fiction genre here who can point me towards something higher calibre in this space that he will really enjoy. He’s also a fan of sci-fi (when it comes to films and tv anyway) so not opposed to something leaning that way.
