I just restarted reading books. I was big into reading back in school but since college and corporate, I completely stopped.
Back in school I read it all. Right from Harry Potter to Twilight. From Paulo Cohelo to Durjoy Dutta. From Shakespeare (not just from school curriculum) to Chetan Bhagat. 😂 I loved to read. But then stopped completely.
Tried multiple times to start again but left books midway (Godfather, Magaicians of Mazda). Just recently someone told me that I should pick books that I would find interesting and start from there. I took my first three recommendations from chatgpt but would love to hear from the community here about what I can read next.
My first book was The Palace of Illusions. Absolutely loved it. Realised I’m interested in strong female protagonists. Also loved the mythology aspect of it.
Second was Circe – another amazing book with a strong female protagonist. However, I realised that I’m not particularly enjoying the slow pace and detailed descriptions of things around.
Third has been The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo and OMG! It has been like binge watching a netflix series. I completed the whole book within a week!! (A real achievement for me as I picked up books after 10 years)
I would love to hear your suggestions about the next book I should read. I really appreciate a good story. It’s very important for me. I’m open to moving away from female protagonists if the story is good and can capture my attention.
Looking forward to your recommendations. 🤗
