I’ve read Tender Is The Flesh and The Laws Of The Skies recently and I’m craving more. I want a book that will fully disturb me. Maybe even make me stop reading it for five minutes because I can’t believe what I just read. Something like those two books or Geek Love, which is on my list.
Thank you!

“Sister, Maiden, Monster” by Lucy A. Snyder is a gross-out body horror with Lovecraftian themes. One of the first horror novels I’ve read that felt informed by Covid.
Earthlings by Sayaka Murata. So fucked up. I have to say it was too out there for me to really enjoy, but can appreciate the writing and creativity.
The wasp factory by ian banks
Brother by Ania Ahlborn for sure
