I want to get into reading but slow books lose me

I’m trying to start reading more, but I’m honestly not much of a reader. Sometimes I find a book that hooks me right away and I fly through it, but most of the time I just get bored and have to force myself to keep going.

I realized I really like books that start with some action or at least something happening in the first pages. Not a huge fan of slowburns. I’m open to pretty much any genre except war stuff. I’m in my 20s (woman) if that helps at all.

I just want something that keeps me hooked but also feels kinda wholesome at the same time.
Any recs?
