Hello, I am searching a new interesting series of books. In the last two years, I have read and loved the 3-body problem trilogy and both the Foundation and Empire cycles, especially due to the plot complexity, the sense of "scientifically likeness" pervading the novels (being a physics student, this is making things really interesting to me) and some relevant thoughts hidden (or obvious) between the lines. On the other hand, I still can't say I am liking the Asimov robot novels as they are too much short and isolated, and by the time I get used to the setting the novel has ended…

So I am searching for some "complex" and long novels that should have a sense of likeness and naturality, better if physically accurate or plausible. Sci-fy setting is not really essential, I also like hystorical (or pseudo-hystorical) settings. For example, I loved Game of thrones (or should I say ASOIAF here?) for the plot complexity, characters depth, multiple point of view and the sense of likeness and reality resisting even when magic (which normally I wouldn't stand) comes into play.

So, people of reddit, what would you suggest? Just go with some Clarke cycles? Or do you have something more original?
