Like the title says, I need gift ideas for my 14 year old that will hopefully expand her reading horizons a bit. Her favorite books are the hunger games series. She's also read and enjoyed several Percy Jackson books.
Divergent series, Unwind series by Neal Shusterman, and Black City series by Elizabeth Richards are some faves of mine. I’m 26 but Divergent was great when I was a teen and the other three are more recent faves

A kids Kindle with kids unlimited. It can only download books, but has access to thousands of free ones. You can set it so she can’t download anything that costs money. You can set age restrictions but at 14 I wouldn’t.
Highly suggest All the Dust that Falls for a great series about a Roomba accidentally teleported to a medieval magical world where everyone thinks it’s a demon and they are Terrified of this little robot just going around trying to clean the world. It levels up and gains all sorts of powers that help it clean better. The MC is a teenage girl who starts as a scared little thing and gains confidence and power until she’s stronger than most everyone else she meets. It’s written for adults but it’s kid friendly. I read it with my 10 year old and he got such a kick out of it. Roomba beeps and wizards run screaming from it. It’s hilarious.

They’re meant for slightly younger readers, but she might enjoy A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket

Maybe the Divergent series?

Frances Hardinge has a number of great fantasy books. The Lie Tree and Cuckoo Song have protagonists that are similar in age, and they’re delightful!
