The things I loved about BG3 that I would love to find in a book:
1. Well written story and characters with some depth and growth
2. Not afraid of sex and violence, I mean graphically on both fronts. Actual adult content, not smutty or pornographic.
3. World building, a sense that there is more to the setting than the characters are directly experiencing.
4. Humor, haha

Closest you may get is Dungeon Crawler Carl. It’s a series and the story gets better with each book. Look it up. Read them from recommendations on here.
