I feel like I’ve seen quite a bit of books and media lately about how to talk with and understand people who have different political views.
Are there any books about communicating with people don’t share your values?
Currently struggling with people at work who don’t have pride in their work, want to do as little as possible to get paid, shirk policy until their caught, don’t care if they frustrate or disappoint coworkers or clients b/c they are there for money and not to build a positive reputation. It’s not a lack of integrity… their values and actions align. It’s just that my values don’t align with theirs and I find myself in situations daily that sort of boggle my mind. Can I maintain my values? Will I ever be successful in a workplace if my values don’t align with my managers?
