Looking for chapter book suggestions I can read aloud to my 6 year old daughter! (My 4 yo son will probably be listening too but gearing more toward her). I am looking for older books, generally 1970 and earlier but I'm open. Wholesome themes, Christian themes very welcome but not necessary. We liked Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, Mr. Popper's Penguins, Peter Pan (Great Illustrated Classics). I'd like to do Little House and Bobbsey Twins eventually.
Would love some recommendations!
