My dad (56) usually reads non-fiction with themes of neuroscience, evolutionary biology, ethics, religion critiques, history of ideas. I don’t talk to him about books too often as we have very different reading tastes.
He recently expressed an interest in reading some fiction, so that’s what I’ll be getting him for Christmas.
He probably won’t like anything that’s too heavy in fantasy, I’ve given him Small Gods by Terry Pratchett a few years ago but he lost interest quite quickly.
