Hi! I recently finished The Americans and I’ve been feelings this vibe. I marked the post as history but really it could be fiction as well since I’m a fan of the era. Please suggest books from both viewpoints as I’m interested in views other than just American.
Some examples to help: as a teenager I read A Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich. The Gulag Archipelago has been on my TBR for a few years now as well.
I’ve also read the Red Sparrow series, Le Carré’s The Spy Who Came In From The Cold. Both of which I enjoyed.
The Americans is one of my favorite tv shows and I know it’s not exactly “Cold War espionage” as a genre, I did the touch of Sovietness The Master and Margarita had.
