My niece has always been interested in politics. I work for a state government agency and she wanted to talk about the shutdown when that was going on. She also asks to talk about the Epstein files, issues involving race, and LGBT equality. Her current career ambition is to be a prosecutor. Any book recommendations? I’d be all set if she were older, but I’m at a loss given that she’s only 10.

Cannot recommend the lumberjanes graphic novels enough!
Animal Farm, The Giver, The Hunger Games series, Someone Named Eva, Number The Stars,The Dear America series (there’s ones about POC Americans) . Unfortunately cant think of any childrens books about sex traff**king.
Top Shelf comics partnered with John Lewis to make a 3-volume graphic novel about his experiences in the civil rights movement including the Selma bridge and the March on Washington that she might love (I know I do!) it’s called March.
