So, lots of "shit hits the fan" not-too-distant future apocalyptic or dystopian novels are written by or for US-centric conservative-leaning authors and audiences. But this Robert Evans novel, published by AK Press, was explicitly from a leftist perspective. This is the same Robert Evans that did the podcasts It Could Happen Here and Welcome to the Crumbles, which are worth your time if you're into current events/political trend analyses.
I've already read everything by Octavia Butler, Becky Chambers, Ursula K LeGuin, and most of Neal Stephenson and William Gibson, so looking for authors outside of that group. Thanks!
