Im hoping someone here can help me find my next book. I want to get something new to me but my likes and dislikes are all over the place so its hard to describe. I will put lists below to hopefully help.
Favorites:
- Medicus / Terra Incognita / Persona Non Grata by Ruth Downie (In looking up the author i see she wrote 5 more books, while they are now on my list im looking for something new)
- Snow Crash (I liked the why cyber space was done)
- Necromancer by William Gibson (Similar to snow Crash, great cyber space ideas)
Good:
- Titanium Noir by Nick Harkaway (good detective novel, still reading and may move to faborite depending on ending)
- Dracula by Bram Stroker
- Liberty's Crusade by Jeff Grub (Starcraft, the idea of space wars from a reporters eyes was cool and seeing characters i knew)
Disliked:
- Lord of the Rings (The descriptions of everything just lost me and id forget what was happening)
- Harry Potter (Never clicked with it despite loving fantasy)
- Pattern Recognition by William Gibson (It was just meh)
- Game of thrones (Most the characters I wanted to live died by book 3, I got bored after that).
