As I said, just finished Broken Country by Clare Leslie Hall and it left me wanting more. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the writing, it was so gut wrenching i couldn’t put the book down. However aside from Frank i didn’t click with the characters completely (and i like flawed protagonists, dont get me wrong), they just made too many decisions that irked me the wrong way, plus the whole reason the plot exists is because of miscommunication between Beth and Gabriel, and if there’s a plot device i can’t stand, miscommunication would be it. So I’m looking for something similar in terms of amazing storytelling/writing/atmosphere/setting – romance centric but with other themes as well. Basically i want all of the longing, pining, aching in a complex and sophisticated story
