I recommend “The Serviceberry” by Robin Wall Kimmerer. The book focuses on contributing to your local community by rejecting the capitalist idea of value/worth and instead participating in a gift economy, inspired by the many mutualistic relationships found the nature. It’s a short read and can easily be completed in a single sitting.
