so i have been rereading the portal war series and while the series has its up and down i do like the fact that the mc is basically the villain in the story and i am craving more books like that.
i want a book where the mc is not the typical "lets save the world in 7 easy steps" kind of guy, an mc who does not mind getting his hands dirty if it further his goal.
if possible a finished series but an ongoing one is fine too
