I really adore the old-fashioned style of literature, but find them quite hard to read.
I'm currently reading a book of Somerset Maugham short stories, which I am loving. His style of writing is what I am kind of looking for (very antiquated, but accessible.)
I love a hard read, but I'd like something lighter. They don't have to be 'classics' per say (a good trashy novel is very welcome) and any genre.
Thanks in advance

I have a few suggestions for you:
* Jerome K. Jerome
* Jack London short stories
* Rudyard Kipling
