A bit odd of a question. But I started reading Last Exit to Brooklyn and the writing style is insane. No punctuation, no quotation marks, nonstop run on sentences. However, I was working a 12 hour desk shift so I was stuck with it. About halfway through it started to grow on me? The way he tells a story is very raw.
Anyway, I’m interested in reading more of his stuff, but idk if I can really get into more books with the headache-inducing writing style. Are most of his works written this way? I skimmed my copy of Requiem for a Dream and noticed it wasn’t so I was curious about the others that I don’t have.
