I know Stephen King is the top suggestion for this. I've read King, I've got a list of more to read from him so I'm all set there.
I'd love some suggestions for coming of age + horror books that are written by women. This kind of book feels very male dominated.
I'm currently reading The Chalk Man by C.J. Tudor but I'd love to have a longer list of books with this vibe (and a cast of kids is an important aspect of Stranger Things to me, it can flash back and forth from kids to adults like IT but to me it's not like Stranger Things if I'm reading about adults).
