In search of dystopian fiction
Our teachers birthday and Christmas are coming up and our English advanced course wants to surprise her with a gift, do you guys have any recommendations?
She doesn't like it when the book is boring, e.g. "The Circle" is way too descriptive in the way that it's written, she highly prefers tension. It is more than just likely that she has already read most of the popular books in that kind of genre, like the novels from George Orwell (idk if she has read the Hunger Games yet, but maybe even then it wouldn't be the best idea to take the high road with this one.) So preferably something that isn't too well-known or just relatively new.
Quick Edit: Preferably without romance too. I don't think she would mind it too hard of there were any, but the romance should 100% at no point be a hard focus in the novel.
