Its often asked which authors have beautiful or poetic prose, but im looking for examples. Specifically lines or paragraphs that are not just well written but have rhythm or meter. Basically lines of poetry but not in poems, if that makes sense.
Examples:
'Lolita, light of my life, fire of my loins. My sin, my soul. Lo-lee-ta: the tip of the tongue taking a trip of three steps down the palate to tap, at three, on the teeth. Lo. Lee. Ta.'
'When he woke in the woods in the dark and the cold..'
These are both opening lines but im looking for any at all. If you have any that come to mind please comment and give the book and author.
