Without going into details, I’m having some really upsetting issues with a friend group of mine. It’s been very alienating for me and I feel isolated and I’m doing my best not to drift into despair (as I am wont to do 🥲). I think cozy stories about people starting over and building a new community would help me to feel hopeful right now. I’ve read all the Legends & Lattes books and they are the kind of thing I am talking about. I might just reread them, but would welcome anyone else’s suggestions!! ♥️✨
Thank you in advance.

A Man Called Ove – Frederik Backman might give you some feels
The House in the Cerulean Sea might work for this.
The Books of the Raksura by Martha Wells is about found family.
*Tress of the Emerald Sea* by Brandon Sanderson.
*Can’t Spell Treason Without Tea* by Rebecca Thorne is (intentionally) quite similar to *Legends and Lattes*.
*Light from Uncommon Stars* Ryka Aoki, although not all of it is cozy, check out content warnings if needed, but it is a great story about found family and community building.
*The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches* by Sangu Mandanna.
