I’m currently interested in starting to read Ernest Hemingway. I’ve never read any of his work but really want to. Where should i begin? Recommendations
The Old Man and the Sea is short, but still beautifully illustrated Hemingway’s prose and major themes. You also don’t need to know much decade-specific history to follow it.

To have and have not is one of my favorites. Can’t go wrong with Old man and the Sea or For whom the bell tolls.

I would start with some of his short stories. If you like his prose style, then move on to his novels. *A Farewell to Arms* and *For Whom the Bell Tolls* are my two favoruites.

I just read A Farewell to Arms last month. Solid.
