this might be a weird request

i really want to read more books about women who are dealing with loneliness or obsession. i have OCD and i also struggle with loneliness bc i feel very “different” from other people. i’m also a woman so it helps to not feel so lonely to read about women like me

i like contemporary but i will read just about everything

    tyia 🙂

Jane Eyre- Charlotte Bront’e is an amazing journey and 550 pages that will fly by once you get immersed into this world

    2. Idk if this is a good recommendation but I read the book Girl, Interrupted and it was one of the best books I’d ever read and I was dealing with loneliness and depression at the time (I read it during covid)

    3. John Green’s YA novel *Turtle All the Way Down* deals with OCD. These next two books are a bit older now, but Suzanna Kaysen’s *Girl, Interrupted* and Temple Grandin’s *Thinking in Pictures* are great examples of how difference or society’s reaction to it can make you feel alienated.
