I love literary fiction books that approach the themes of marriage and motherhood with honesty, rawness and genuineness. Some of my favorite books that fit this specific genre are the 3rd and 4th books of the Neapolitan series, the book "the push" by Ashley Audrain,"motherhood" by Sheila Heti, "Our spoons came from Woolworths" by Barbara Comyns, "Sorrow and Bliss" by Meg Mason and "Stillborn" by Guadalupe Nettel. I specifically love books that represent these things as they are, no romantization or idealization. Any recommendations of this sort?
