Okay, this is going to sound dumb, but I don’t even know where to start. There seem to be so many exceptional books, and I want to read them all at once after being recommended.
I just got into reading as a hobby. I work in finance, so most of my reading was related to that. Anyway, I was traveling on a long flight, and my phone died. So, I went to a bookstore in the airport and bought Flowers for Algernon. Even though it’s such a simple book, I couldn’t put it down, and then I read The Catcher in the Rye, and from there, I was hooked on reading.
Anyway, I’m rambling, just excited. I have a list compiled and wanted to know which one you would start with and why?
List:
1) Of mice and men
2) One hundred years of solitude
3) Lolita (not sure if it’s my type of book, everyone says it’s a masterpiece and not what I would think)
4) East of Eden
5) The Great Gatsby
6) One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest
Was thinking about 1 or 6. Let me know your thoughts!
