When I was a teenager, I remember reading a book (In Sarah’s Shadow by Karen McCombie) in which the first half was written from the perspective of the main character and the second half from that of her sister, covering the same events. I loved that concept. Can you suggest more books in which the same story is told from the viewpoints of two different characters?

    1. Toby Litt’s book ‘Deadkidsongs’ does this quite excellently… Though I can’t say it was the happiest read of my life, as the title may suggest!

    2. *Fingersmith* by Sarah Waters

      *The Observations* by Jane Harris

*An Instance of the Fingerpost* by Iain Pears (4 viewpoints in this case)

The Private Memoirs and Confessions of a Justified Sinner by James Hogg is an absolute classic like this.
