Kindle Unlimited books that don’t suck?

I recently took advantage of the $0.99 for 3 months KU deal. I’ve read five KU books so far, and they’ve ranged from “meh” to garbage. Has anyone discovered any gems?

My preferences:

– Speculative fiction (The Measure, The One)

– Thrillers will really good twists (Gone Girl, The Housemaid)

– Really engaging narrative non-fiction (Stiff)

– Cozy novels with fun characters and engaging plots (House in the Cerulean Sea, Anxious People)

– Memoirs about modern homesteading/hobby farms (Animal Vegetable Miracle)

– Novels about travel/alternate universes (Before the Coffee Gets Cold, Time Traveler’s Wife)

Note that I have downloaded Dungeon Crawler Carl and am excited to dig into that. 🙂
