As it approaches Christmas, I've never really given an authentic gift for my family so I'd thought Reddit would be the best place to ask /s. I'll just use filler names to fill in my family of 7. (youngest -> oldest). Any suggestions for any of us would be appreciated.
Me (optional) – Getting into self-help but most likely done reading this genre. Like any good general informative books that aren't too wishy washy. Like being informed on broad topics but not very niche ones. Kinda interested in psychology and sociology, but not limited. Like fiction novels that are based on real events but are more interesting.
Troy – Likes to read, hyperfocus on novels revolving around power, law thrillers like John Grishum, rebellious biopics like Edward Snowden's whistleblower. Plans to study law if that helps, more of a stoic personality type. Attracted to morally gray sharp tongued charachters. Perhaps anti-hero?
Sarah – alternative, don't know if she would even touch the book so that bear that in mind. Any book that reels the reader in quick would be appreciated. Probably visual would be better.
Mark – Likes art, never known him to read, so this novel would have to be interest focused. Likes video games especially Nintendo as a genre if that tells anything about his personality. Outgoing and kind. Very social and creative. I don't think it likes reading at all so a concise and short or visual book would be preferred.
Arthur – Likes coding, more of a reserved but still energetic personality. Intellectually disciplined, but probably hasn't read a book in a while given its lack of necessity. Most likely would read whats given. Something that's out of the ordinary would probably be needed to strike his interest. Probably something about corporate bureaucracy consider he complains about it so much /s. Likes reading up on niche topics related to his interests. But idk, given an ordinary book would probably disappoint him.
