    1. Can’t say that they have ALL the elements you are looking for, however, these should tick at least some of the boxes:

      Moriarty by Anthony Horowitz (Sherlock’s London from the perspective of the villain)

      Frankenstein by Mary Shelley (gothic, “scientific”, although more science-fantasy now)

      Dracula by Bram Stoker (gothic, definitely undertones in there)

      Dr Jekyll and Mr Seek by Anthony O’Neill (alternative telling of J&H)

      Jekyll and Hyde, consulting detectives by Tim Major (another alternative retelling)

      The Limehouse Golem by Peter Ackroyd (Victorian gothic, thriller)
