I get my mom a book each year for Christmas and each year it gets more and more difficult to choose a title because her tastes are bit tricky to nail down.
She loves classics. Some of her favorite repeat reads are Grapes of Wrath; Gone with the Wind; Little Women; Pride and Prejudice.
Some modern classics she loves are The Outsiders; One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest; To Kill a Mockingbird.
She also loves the Lonesome Dove series.
She’s also not a stranger to more “bookclub” type novels and has enjoyed The Guest List; The Last House Guest; The Sanatorium; Something in the Water.
She is vocally not a fan of graphic romance; when I ask her what kind of book she’d like she always says “I’ll read anything except Coleen Hoover” 😂

What about Nora Roberts?? I have no idea what her recent books are like but my mom use to read her books in the 2000s
All Creatures Big and Small is another good one my mom liked. She likes the show and the series.
