The Consequence of Anna is so intoxicating that I was unable to put it down. It had absolutely everything in re to the plot; period drama, romance, mental illness, family issues and so much more. To be clear, this is not a romance novel per se. I rarely see anyone speak of it despite it unknowingly a Pulitzer Prize winner/nominee. I desperately am in need of a similar book. Please help, I’ve love to read it over the Christmas vacation and as an escape from work. Separately, if you haven’t read it, DO SO. Everyone I’ve suggested it to has been grateful for doing so bc it’s that addicting.
