Hello all! I’m trying to meet my reading goal for this year. I’ve read 23 books so far and I need to read just one more! Could you please suggest a book I can finish before end of year? Some of the books I read this year include cozy fantasies, non fiction like Why Fish Don’t Exist, and literary fiction like Stoner.

Anything that’s a page turner will be appreciated. Thanks in advance! 🤍

Doesn’t get much cozier than TJ Klune, and I’ve heard good things about the Teller of Small Fortunes. The Monk and Robot books by Becky Chambers are also very good, nice quick read too. The Storied Life of AJ Fickry is also super cute (the movie isn’t nearly as good so if you watched that already ignore it). I also sped through The Demon in the Freezer by Richard Preston, it’s about smallpox and anthrax and is written very well!

My top pics based on my reading this year:
      – Cozy fantasy: Emily Wilde’s Encyclopedia of Faeries
      – Nonfiction: What My Bones Know
      – Literary Fiction: Demon Copperhead

The Small Hand by Susan Hill is very short, and suitably creepy if you like a ghost story this time of year? Or last year’s Booker winner, Orbital by Samantha Harvey – thoughts on the world from the detachment of the ISS.

Witch’s Guide to Magical Innkeeping for cozy fantasy!! You’ll want to finish it quick. Otherwise, a Sarah Gailey novella could be good — Upright Women Wanted, maybe?
