Id always suggest to read genres that you’re into. If you like horror, read horror and find some popular books to start, if you like romance then find some popular romance books etc. If you’re into the topic and the genre first, it helps you stay committed to finding books you like and want to read again. Just be prepared to also feel disappointed, not every book is a 5 star

start small. like genuinely small. heavy books can be intimidating, so pick lighter reads in a genre you already enjoy.
aim for 20 minutes of uninterrupted reading instead of page counts. that’s usually around 8 to 15 pages, depending on your pace. but honestly, it doesn’t matter. what matters is that you’re present and actually enjoying it. pick a quiet time, put your phone away, and just read.
for recs:
sci-fi: the lathe of heaven by ursula k. le guin
classics: the stranger by camus
both are short and not overwhelming. once reading stops feeling scary, you can slowly move on to heavier stuff.
