This is my 4th or 5th time reading it. First time was about 12 years ago. It’s just nonstop hilarity. Salinger is so funny in general, but Catcher takes the cake for me.
Somehow people find things like Hitchhiker’s Guide to be funny when I thought that book was pretty horrendous and not remotely funny when I read it a handful of years ago now. Maybe I just have an odd sense of humor.

It’s also a disturbingly sad book too if you can dig deeper than the humor. A great read after all these years. I got more out of it reading as an adult than as an assignment for English class in 11th grade.
