I’m looking for fiction books that are generally positive and upbeat but still feel like you’re getting something out of it.
I read a lot of what I’d call multigenerational trauma books from different countries, and I love that, but I just finished Mornings in Jenin and it absolutely devastated me and I need a break! I like realism/present day stories (or slightly in the past but not period drama types) and am not into fantasy or romance. Sometimes I feel like books with positive tone feel like a waste of time to me but I desperately need to feel good. However I don’t want something too meaningless or superficial. Any thoughts?
