I just got done reading watership down a while back and I read a lot of the warriors series when I was younger. I love non human perspectives and especially non humanoid perspectives as well as how they see humans.

I read Nimh, and fifteen rabbits as well and I was excited to see what other good fiction there is like all these books. Where the pov character is an animal. The spectrum of the intelligence of the animal ranges a lot though I think I'm partial to animals that are closer in certain ways to human personalities while still being heavily influenced by their species and also being fully animal in body. Not bipedal. Thanks in advance for the suggestions!

    1. [Fifteen Dogs by André Alexis Fifteen Dogs by André Alexis](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/23129923)

What happens when a group of dogs at a vet’s office are given human intelligence. It’s a great read – some barely acknowledge or use their intelligence and others have a language and make plans. Plus everything in between (and more)!

    2. *Black Beauty* by Anna Sewell is narrated by a horse, of course.

*A Night in the Lonesome October* by Roger Zelazny is narrated by a dog

*City* by Clifford D. Simak prominently features dogs.

Oh, and *Animal Farm* by George Orwell, which features many animals, on a farm.
