    Hi everyone
I’m looking to buy some new books to improve my English. My current level is B2 and I’ve been practicing for a while so I feel like my English has improved.
However I recently stopped practicing and I don’t want to lose my progress. I tried reading classics but I found them very difficult and sometimes I couldn’t understand what was happening. I enjoy reading different genres but I prefer books that aren’t too sad.

I’m open to new ideas so feel free to suggest your favorite books.

    1. The Mother Tongue: English and How It Got That Way is a popular, humorous, and accessible book by Bill Bryson that explores the history, quirks, and evolution of the English language, from its origins to its global status, covering topics like spelling, grammar, and etymology. Bill Bryson is one of my favorite authors. His books primarily cover travel adventure and history. Amazing how he can take on a subject matter as seemingly boring as the English language and make it thoroughly entertaining.
